Graham Gould started Authentic Nameplates 20 years ago when he replicated an old copper nameplate that graced the entrance of his great-grandparents home. He built up a market supplying handcrafted nameplates to owners of period style and modern homes across Australia. His nameplates have won prizes throughout the country in competition against some of the finest metal smiths and jewellers. With his book, House Names of Australia, and appearances on national television and talk-back radio, Graham is regarded as an authority on the subject giving seminars for historical societies and The National trust of Australia. No period home is complete until it is adorned with a handcrafted nameplate. We at Authentic Nameplates believe this is a simple way to add charm and character to a period or modern home. Our nameplates do not only have great appeal in domestic markets, but can add that finishing touch in commercial applications also.
